The scent of Shalimar was inspired by love between the Indian ruler and his extraordinary wife Mumtaz-Mahal, for which he had built the Taj Mahal. Shalimar is the name of the gardens where the ruler and his wife met. The main ingredient of the Shalimar fragrance is vanilla, combined with an unmistakable smoke of incense and opoponax. Bitter bergamot, intense vanilla and incense are ideal for lovers of oriental perfumes.
