Grandstream GWN7672, Wi-Fi 7

Grandstream GWN7672, Wi-Fi 7
The Grandstream GWN7672 Wi-Fi 7 access point is a tri-band access point for enterprise environments with high client density. It uses the 802.11be standard and maintains backward compatibility with older 802.11n/ac/ax standards. It provides an aggregate wireless throughput of up to 11Gbps and a wired throughput of up to 10Gbps via two 5G Ethernet ports. The device serves up to 384 concurrent clients and covers an area of up to 175m with its signal. Tri-band operation (2.4GHz, 5GHz and 6GHz) combined with technologies like MLO, MU-MIMO and 4K-QAM optimises data flows and reduces latency.
Key features of the Grandstream GWN7672 Wi-Fi 7 access point
- 2×2:2 MU-MIMO, MLO and 4K-QAM technologies optimise data flows
- Built-in controller manages up to 50 local GWN access points
- Signal coverage of up to 175m
- Supports up to 384 concurrent client devices
- Two 5G Ethernet ports for high-speed wired connectivity
- Operates in access point mode
- Advanced security including WPA3 and anti-hacking secure boot
- Managed via the GDMS cloud platform, mobile app or local software
Performance and Wi-Fi 7 technology
This access point operates in three frequency bands and uses seven internal antennas. Efficient data transfer is supported by key Wi-Fi 7 standard technologies, such as Multi-Link Operation (MLO), which aggregates multiple bands for a single device, and 4K-QAM modulation. The aggregate wireless throughput is 10773Mbps, split between the 2.4GHz (688Mbps), 5GHz (4320Mbps) and 6GHz (5765Mbps) bands. It also uses 2×2:2 MU-MIMO, MRU and Preamble Puncturing for more efficient channel utilisation and reduced interference in congested environments.
Centralised management and operation
The device functions in access point mode and offers several licence-free centralised management options. The built-in controller lets you manage a network of up to 50 local GWN access points directly from the web interface of a single device. For managing an unlimited number of units across multiple locations, use the Grandstream Device Management System (GDMS) cloud platform. An on-premise GWN Manager software controller and a mobile app are also available for managing your network from anywhere.
Advanced security and connectivity
Network security is provided on several levels. The access point supports modern encryption standards including WPA3 and older WEP, WPA/WPA2-PSK, and WPA/WPA2 Enterprise (TKIP/AES). Protection is enhanced by anti-hacking secure boot, which verifies firmware integrity at startup. Each unit contains a unique security certificate, digital signatures for critical data, and a randomly generated default password. The Guest Zone feature lets you create a separate network for guests. For high-speed wired connection to the backbone network, there are two 5G Ethernet ports with configurable WAN or LAN functionality, providing an aggregate wired throughput of 10Gbps. The access point is powered exclusively via PoE+ with a maximum power consumption of 25W.
