Grandstream GWN7670WM, Wi-Fi 7

Grandstream GWN7670WM, Wi-Fi 7
The Grandstream GWN7670WM Wi-Fi access point brings next-generation connectivity to business environments with the Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) standard. This dual-band enterprise access point operates on the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, achieving an aggregate wireless throughput of 3570Mbps. It uses advanced technologies like MU-MIMO and MLO (Multi-Link Operation) for more efficient spectrum use and reduced latency. Flexible management via the cloud, software, or a built-in controller simplifies network configuration and maintenance.
Key features of the Grandstream GWN7670WM Wi-Fi 7 access point
- Utilises 2×2 MU-MIMO technology for efficient communication
- Supports up to 256 client devices simultaneously
- Signal coverage of up to 175m
- Equipped with a 2.5Gbit LAN port
- Powered by active PoE/PoE+ (802.3af/at)
- Network security provided by WPA3 encryption and a Guest Zone feature
- Managed via the cloud, a mobile app, or the built-in controller
- Create up to 32 separate SSIDs
Performance and Wi-Fi 7 technology
This enterprise access point fully supports the Wi-Fi 7 (IEEE 802.11be) standard, which improves performance on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and maintains backward compatibility with older 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax standards. For efficient data transmission and reduced latency, it uses technologies such as MLO (Multi-Link Operation), 4K-QAM modulation, and 2 × 2:2 MU-MIMO. The total wireless throughput reaches 3570Mbps, split between the 5GHz band with a speed of 2882Mbps and the 2.4GHz band with 688Mbps.
Coverage and management
The device is designed for medium-density environments such as offices, commercial spaces, and educational institutions. It provides reliable coverage up to 175m and can serve up to 256 client devices simultaneously. To optimise network performance and management, it offers a QoS (Quality of Service) feature to prioritise data streams. It also supports the creation of up to 32 separate SSIDs (16 for each radio band), which helps with network segmentation and traffic separation.
Flexible management and advanced security
Network security is supported by modern encryption standards, including WPA3 and WPA2-Enterprise. The access point includes advanced security features such as anti-hacking secure boot and critical data protection using digital signatures. Each device has a unique security certificate and a random default password. The device can be managed in several ways: the GDMS Networking cloud platform for an unlimited number of APs, the local GWN Manager software, or via the built-in controller, which manages up to 50 local APs.
Design, installation, and connectivity
The package includes a mounting kit for wall attachment. The device's casing can also be painted over to better blend in with the surrounding interior and not disrupt its appearance. A 2.5Gb/s port is provided for wired connections. Power is supplied exclusively via PoE/PoE+ (802.3af/802.3at standards) with an auto-adapting power function. This solution simplifies installation without the need for a nearby electrical socket.
