This controller works with many types of digital LED chips, including WS2811, WS2811F, WS2812B, SK6812, SM16703, SM16703SP3, FL19038, and FW1935. You can connect one or two digital LED strips to the device, and the system can control up to 800 IC chips. Its wide compatibility with various protocols makes it easy to connect different types of digital strips without needing to purchase separate decoders.
Connection options and technical interface
The design, in a black plastic IP20-rated housing, offers two separate data outputs: GPIO16 and GPIO2. These outputs are complemented by an additional IO33-GPIO interface for further connection possibilities. The device supports 5V, 12V, and 24V supply voltages, which correspond to the standard requirements of common digital strips. It can be powered from the mains or via a USB connector, depending on the specific installation requirements. The compact design in a sealed housing protects the internal components from external contact.
Wireless connection and integration
Communication is handled by an integrated ESP32 chip via a 2.4GHz WiFi wireless connection with a range of up to 50m. The controller supports Android, Windows, and iOS operating systems, with the control interface available in English. The device is compatible with the Home Assistant platform for advanced home automation and also supports the Amazon Alexa voice assistant. The wireless connection does not require the installation of any physical network cable, as the device does not have an Ethernet port.
Installation and current load
The compact body, measuring 108 × 45 × 18mm, is designed for fixed mounting on a wall or other solid surface indoors. It can be mechanically fastened with screws or attached to a smooth surface with adhesive. The total current reaches 15A, with a current load of up to 10A per individual channel.
