The robust and perfectly balanced Gitzo Mountaineer GT3542L tripod comes in four sections, absent the tripod heads, and is among the absolute top of its class in the tripod world. This tripod, made from carbon fibre, is meant to be used with viewing scopes, and DSLR telephoto instruments with a maximum of a 400mm focal point.

Perfection itself

It comes with a hanging hook positioned on the centre rod which is suitable for securing a stabilising weight, such as a camera bag or other heavier material.  The tripod is built to support heavier instruments with long lenses. Also, the tripod features the Ultra G-Lock system which prevents dust and small particles from getting into the tripod legs. When setting the ground level, it allows you to remove the centre column so you can take pictures with your device lower to the ground. The Carbon eXact carbon tubing is more stable and stiffer, enabling the tripod GT3542L to have a max load capacity of 21kg which is incredible! Its maximum height is 178cm, and it can be minimised to 16cm.
