The Garmin smartwatch has a large and bright AMOLED display
Garmin has equipped the Tactix 8 smartwatch with a brilliantly clear and bright 1.4-inch AMOLED display. To ensure the display stays in top condition during all your activities, the manufacturer has fitted it with a durable sapphire crystal. The back of the Garmin Tactix 8 smartwatch is made of titanium. You can fully rely on this smartwatch, as it meets the strict conditions of the MIL-STD-810 military standard. The built-in battery keeps the Garmin Tactix 8 running for up to 29 days.
Built-in torch and excellent tactical features
The Garmin smartwatch is equipped with a powerful LED torch, which you'll appreciate when you need to read important information or find something in your backpack after dusk. The torch's intensity can be adjusted in several steps, and you can also choose between white or green light. The Garmin Tactix 8 also offers a range of tactical features, such as night vision support and a Stealth Mode, in which the watch does not save/share its GPS position and disables wireless communication technologies. You can also navigate to a specified point using the Project Waypoint function (by knowing the distance and azimuth to it). The Direct-to aviation feature enables quick direct-to-target navigation. The Garmin Tactix 8 supports a ballistics calculator function.
Precise navigation on your wrist
Inside the Garmin Tactix 8 smartwatch, you'll find a built-in satellite receiver compatible with GPS, GLONASS, BEIDOU, QZSS, and GALILEO systems, giving you precise information about your current location. The modern SATIQ technology automatically determines the most suitable satellite signal mode at any given moment. If you often venture into the field, you will certainly appreciate the ABC sensors (Altimeter, Barometer, and a three-axis Compass) for easier navigation. These sensors can be calibrated automatically, or you can calibrate them manually. Using the navigation function, you can automatically calculate a route to your destination or plan your own on your computer or mobile phone. You can do this via mapy.cz and the Garmin Connect diary. Golf fans will appreciate the presence of CourseView golf course maps. You can look forward to more than 42000 golf courses from around the world. Skiers are similarly well-catered for, with 2000 SkiView resort maps ready for them in the Garmin watch. What's more, you can also view detailed TopoActive topographic maps on the Garmin Tactix 8, which can be downloaded for free.
Advanced sensors will continuously monitor your health
With the help of the watch, you can monitor your energy levels, helping you find the optimal time for training and when it's best to rest. The Garmin Tactix 8 provides you with accurate and clear data on your heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen saturation, stress levels, and both the duration and quality of your sleep. The sleep advisor specifically evaluates the quality of your sleep and its stages and brings you insights that can help improve your overall sleep quality. The Tactix 8 can also detect naps and assess their impact on your overall recovery. The Garmin smartwatch can determine your Body Battery or measure your breathing rate—day and night. It also includes a training readiness score, which indicates on a scale of 1 to 100 whether it's a good day for more demanding physical activity. Based on sleep quality, recovery, training load, and other factors, your Garmin smartwatch helps you decide whether it's time to push harder or take it easy.
Practical features of the Garmin smartwatch
The presence of NFC enables you to use popular contactless payments with the Garmin Tactix 8 via Garmin Pay (if supported by your bank). Notifications for incoming emails or other alerts from apps installed on your paired smartphone are a matter of course. The built-in microphone and speaker let you handle incoming calls from your paired phone. The Garmin Tactix 8 also offers a clever safety and tracking feature; after pairing with your phone, you can share your current location with your contacts manually, or, during selected outdoor activities, have your location sent automatically using the preset incident detection. The Garmin Tactix 8 has an integrated music player. Of course, you can also use streaming apps from compatible services (via a connected phone).
The Garmin Tactix 8 uses a QuickFit quick-release strap
Thanks to the interchangeable straps with the QuickFit quick-release mechanism, you can adapt the look of your Garmin Tactix 8 smartwatch to your style. Simply remove the strap and click a different one into place. You can choose from silicone, metal, and leather straps.
Connect IQ store
The open Connect IQ platform is designed for third-party developer apps, so you can discover and download new applications that help you customise your Garmin Tactix smartwatch to your needs. Stylish watch faces, fitness apps, online music platforms, practical tools, fun games, and more are all available.
The Garmin Tactix 8 watch keeps your personal training diary in the mobile app
After pairing the Garmin Tactix 8 watch with the Garmin Connect mobile app via Bluetooth, your recorded activity is automatically transferred to your personal training diary for comprehensive evaluation. The individual values are displayed in the form of clear charts, including training effect and recommended recovery time. Both the app and the user interface of the Garmin Tactix 8 smartwatch are fully localised in Czech.
