The high-capacity battery gives you up to 18 days of use in smartwatch mode on a single charge. With GPS enabled (all satellite systems), the watch's battery life is around 26 hours. With inReach satellite and LTE connectivity, you can send an interactive SOS message for help to the 24/7 Garmin Response emergency coordination centre. The long battery life of the Garmin Fenix 9 Pro allows for all-day wear without the need to frequently take it off for charging. The watch is therefore able to continuously measure and record health and activity data, day and night. This primarily includes values for heart rate, heart rate variability, blood oxygen level, breathing rate, daily step count, floors climbed, and minutes of intense activity. From these measured values, the watch derives other functions and metrics, such as Body Battery, Stress Score, HRV Status, temperature and altitude acclimatisation status, and more. The group of health monitoring functions also includes features for measuring sleep duration and quality. In addition to duration and a Sleep Score, the Garmin Fenix 9 Pro also measures individual sleep stages, short naps, and provides recommendations for achieving better sleep and recovery.

The Fenix 9 Pro smartwatch is equipped with the Garmin Epic feature, which lets you record, relive, and share several days of activities—including photos and health and performance data—as a cohesive story capturing the course of events. To record your activity, the Garmin Fenix watch is equipped with a whole range of sports profiles (e.g. running, cycling, swimming, skiing, golf, hiking, rowing and more). If the current selection isn't enough, you can use the Connect IQ platform to download more. Each sport allows you to individually adjust the screen settings, functions and power mode. The watch even has pre-installed animated workouts (cardio, yoga, pilates, strength training and HIIT). You can download more via the Garmin Connect app to expand the current selection. For strength training fans, the Garmin Fenix 9 Pro has a special profile and function where you can save information about exercises, weights lifted and your personal bests. The function can then graphically show which muscle groups you've worked. The watch also monitors your training status, your readiness for the next workout, and a comprehensive training evaluation. The PacePro function helps you plan your own health strategy, and ClimbPro provides information about upcoming climbs on planned routes.
Stylish navigation with smoother and more intuitive maps
One of the main advantages of the Garmin Fenix 9 Pro watch is its advanced navigation system. Multi-band GPS in conjunction with ABC sensors provide precise data on route, distance and altitude. You can then view detailed maps and track your route on the Garmin Fenix watch display. For outdoor activities, you can use TopoActive maps from all over the world. You can download more maps via a Wi-Fi connection. Through the Garmin Connect journal, you can create a route you want to take, and the watch will then guide you step by step. The 'Up Ahead' feature will inform you about possible points of interest along the way. The Garmin Fenix 9 Pro features dynamic round-trip route calculation. All you have to do is enter the desired distance and the Garmin watch will suggest possible routes to meet your goal. The watch also comes pre-installed with colour maps of more than 43000 golf courses and over 2000 ski resorts worldwide. You will also have the option to subscribe to the Outdoor Maps+ service. This gives you satellite imagery, enhanced topographic maps and other premium map content. The larger memory capacity allows the Fenix 9 Pro to download and store twice as many maps from the Outdoor Maps+ app than previous versions.
