Write the stories of your heroes
Wildermyth evokes the atmosphere of tabletop RPGs, where each game spawns unique heroes in unique environments. Heroes age, change, fall in love, disagree with each other and often face difficult choices that require great sacrifice. Each hero brings their own natural history and personality to the story, but it's your choices and combat skills that decide their fate. Even if every hero dies at some point, you have the option to keep your favourite characters and bring them back for more adventures. Over time, across many lives and quests, your created myths will coalesce into a unique pantheon of legends that will tell the story of your game world.
FANTASY
Meet unconventional heroes who defy the known races
Wildermyth takes you to the Yondering Lands, a fantasy world created in the style of paper figures. It is richly layered and populated with hand-painted 2D characters and landscapes. With meticulous attention to detail, the game's creators have taken new paths, deliberately avoiding traditional fantasy races such as orcs, elves and goblins. Instead, you'll encounter telepathic dragon insects and mechanical undead. Wildermyth offers extreme character depth, where each hero has a uniquely generated history, personality and appearance. Throughout the game, characters form relationships with each other, grow older, encounter mysteries and overcome obstacles, which greatly influence their development and the course of the story.

Elections are important
If he chooses to trust the mysterious wolf god, this can manifest itself not only in the hero's appearance, but also in his abilities on the battlefield. On the other hand, your character can have an affair with another hero, opening up new storylines and shared benefits for both of them that will enhance their combat abilities. This gives the player full control over the direction each hero will take and the stories that will be told. When your favourite hero falls in battle, you have a choice. You can decide whether to let a character retreat with a severe injury that will physically change her, but bring new opportunities and further story development. Or you can have the hero die in a heroic sacrifice, making him a legend to be remembered for generations.
MECHANICS
Choose your strategy well
Tactical combat in Wildermyth isn't just about brute force, it's about the clever use of teamwork, careful unit placement and thoughtful use of your evolving abilities and surroundings. Mechanics like Walling (units working together to reinforce defences) and Flanking (flanking enemies) give you conflicting but strategically vital choices. At the same time, mystical blending allows you to control the battlefield with explosive magic that changes the dynamics of combat.
COOPERATION
Play with friends
If you prefer to play with friends, Wildermyth supports cooperative multiplayer where each player can create and control their own heroes during the campaign. Wildermyth is recommended for up to five players, with most campaigns starting with three heroes, with more coming in as time goes on. Each new start offers a completely different experience thanks to the procedural generation of heroes, enemies, maps and story events. As your heroes progress to higher levels, you'll be able to choose from a myriad of combat abilities.
