Steam Frame Headset Tracking Cameras
Four high-resolution cameras handle the tracking of the controllers and headset in space and provide a monochrome view of the outside world. Two internal cameras are used for eye tracking and foveated streaming, which optimises the image based on where you are looking. Infrared LEDs provide tracking and an outside view in the dark.

Sharp Visuals and Faithful Sound with the Steam Frame Headset
Thin, flat lenses provide high image sharpness and a wide field of view. An LCD display with a resolution of 2160×2160 pixels is installed for each eye, with a refresh rate of 72 to 144Hz. Each ear is served by two stereo speakers that ensure high-fidelity, vibration-free sound.

Perfectly Equipped Controllers
The controllers, shaped like a standard gamepad, offer all the inputs required by VR games, including capacitive finger tracking. The new-generation magnetic sticks on the controllers work with capacitive touch sensors.

Steam Frame as a Standalone Computer
The Steam Frame headset is powered by a Snapdragon 8-series processor with SteamOS. With 16GB of RAM and 256GB/1TB of UFS storage, the headset is capable of running a large number of VR and non-VR games on its own and is compatible with all games from Steam. The Steam Frame has its own compatibility testing programme that quickly lets you know if your chosen game can run directly on the headset without streaming.
