A solid gaming PC must have the following:

Processor
for playing the latest games you need a quad-core processor; choose the ranges i5 and i7 if you prefer Intel.
Graphics card
should have at least 2GB of GDDR5 memory and must support DirectX 11.1 as the baseline and OpenGL. Radeon R9 from AMD (e.g. models 280 or 290) and NVIDIA Maxwell series - such as GTX 960 and higher - are highly recommended.
RAM
when building your gaming PC, you should choose RAM with a capacity of 8 GB or 12 GB and more, with DDR3 or modern DDR4 in particular.
