Tap your favourite games for a totally different gaming experience. Amiibo Smash is a new way to interact with a Nintendo character. Just touch the NFC Touch Point on the Wii U controller to transfer data that you can use in a variety of ways. During the game, the data will be updated to make your character unique!

Widespread Compatibility Across Nintendo Consoles

Your amiibo Smash characters can also be used when playing on pocket consoles. The New Nintendo 3DS boasts built-in NFC technology that makes it possible to just tap your amiibo figure to the bottom touch screen to add it to the game.

The range of games that are compatible with amiibo figures is constantly growing. In future, special accessories for linking amiibo figures with older Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS consoles are also planned.
