IsoFlare™ Point Source Driver
At the heart of the F55E is a 125mm IsoFlare™ point source driver with a multi-fibre cone for the mid-bass range and a 19mm titanium compression tweeter. This concentric design unifies the sound radiation of the individual frequency bands into a single acoustic point, which helps to achieve a more precise soundstage, a more stable stereo image, and more accurate localisation of instruments and vocals.
Separate Bass Driver
The speaker is also equipped with a separate 125mm bass driver that supports a solid and controlled delivery of low frequencies. The even distribution of the bass component is handled by the downward-firing port with BassTrax™ Tractrix technology. This system disperses low frequencies evenly into the room, making the placement of the speaker in the room less demanding and less sensitive to specific acoustic conditions. The F55E is therefore easier to integrate into a standard interior and allows for more flexible installation without the need for a complicated search for the ideal position.
MDF Construction
The cabinet is made of a rigid MDF construction, which helps to limit unwanted resonance and sound colouration. The elegant Black Ash finish with a black wood grain gives the speaker a subtle and timeless look that fits into both modern and classic interiors.
