At the heart of the player are two flagship Cirrus Logic CS43198 DAC chips, complemented by a pair of SGM8262 op-amps in a fully balanced configuration. This setup ensures stunning clarity, extremely low distortion, and a wide dynamic range, letting you rediscover your music library in lossless quality. The FiiO M21 offers an impressive output power of 700mW + 700mW (balanced), so it can drive even demanding headphones with ease. Three gain levels (low, medium, high) perfectly adapt to both IEMs and over-ear headphones. Both streaming and local playback are uncompromising thanks to the proprietary DAPS (Digital Audio Purification System), a pair of custom femtosecond crystal oscillators, and an advanced segmented power supply.

The FiiO M21 offers two-way Bluetooth 5.0 with support for Hi-Res codecs LDAC, aptX HD, LHDC, and SBC/AAC for high-quality wireless streaming and receiving. In asynchronous USB DAC mode, it supports up to 768kHz/32-bit PCM and DSD512, turning any computer into a high-end audio system. The FiiO M21 weighs just 156g and is only 13mm thick.

It features a bright 4.7" HD display for easy control. The durable 2400mAh battery provides up to 12.5 hours of playback (unbalanced) or 9.5 hours (balanced), with a full charge taking approximately 2 hours. Thanks to a 4.4mm balanced output, 3.5mm single-ended output, SPDIF, Line-Out mode, and USB-C for both data and audio, the FiiO M21 adapts to any audiophile setup.
