It has its own waveguide that controls dispersion and directivity, improving the overall image and balance.

Improved bass response
The Elac Debut Connex DCB41-ADSUM loudspeakers incorporate ELAC's patented XBass Enhancer system, which provides improved overall bass extension and output (can be turned off). To better extend the lower frequencies and minimize ventilation noise, the bassreflex port on the DCB41 is routed to the rear in an "S" configuration. With a powerful built-in amplifier, Debut ConneX delivers excellent sound in a small footprint.
Flexible connection
Connect to almost anything with a wide range of input options including HDMI ARC, USB Audio (PC/Mac), Bluetooth (aptX), digital/optical and analogue/phono input. Connect a USB cable from a Windows or Mac computer to the USB input on the DCB41 and enjoy high resolution audio playback up to 96 kHz 24 bit. The volume of the speakers can be controlled using the volume control on your computer. Connect the HDMI ARC output from a compatible TV and the TV remote will control the volume of the Debut Connex speakers.
Bluetooth playback
Play your favourite music or podcast from your phone, tablet or computer via Bluetooth. To ensure the best possible quality, the DCB41 is equipped with aptX technology to deliver true CD-quality audio from compatible phones. The switchable built-in phono preamplifier allows you to connect almost any phono directly to the speakers using standard RCA cables. A grounding screw is also included. If you do not want to use the turntable, turn it off.
