The DJI Mic Mini 2 is a wireless microphone with an ultra-compact size and interchangeable magnetic covers, ¹ which come standard in Obsidian Black and Glaze White, with the option to upgrade to other colour and design options. A total of three preset audio modes are available, and cross-device compatibility² combined with DJI OsmoAudio technology ensures high quality recording. Abi-directional audio capture with advanced ambient noise cancellation expands the range of applications - from family moments and live events to shooting in the city or cycling. With the wind shield in place, the transmitter effectively attenuates wind noise and other disturbances. Once the transmitter is connected, the firmware can be updated via the DJI Mimo app. Neither the charging case nor the receiver is included.

Lightweight and stylish microphone DJI Mic Mini 2
The DJI Mic Mini 2 impresses with its sleek and compact design. Standard magnetic front covers are available in Obsidian Black and Glaze White. Additionally, one of eight colourways or four special Time Series covers designed by internationally renowned illustrator Victo Ngai can be purchased. With a weight of just 11 g⁹, it is almost weightless when worn. The removable magnetic swivel clip allows flexible angle adjustment from different positions.
DJI Mic Mini 2 Sound Modes and Noise Cancellation
The DJI Mic Mini 2 provides two levels of noise cancellation for clear recording indoors and out. There are also three preset modes⁴ to adapt to specific conditions:
- Regular mode - clear, natural and balanced sound
- Rich mode - highlights bass components
- Bright mode - emphasizes pitch for better voice intelligibility
- Basic level - reduction of ambient noise in the interior
- Strong level - effective noise cancellation in harsh environments

The compact Mic Mini 2 microphone supports wireless audio recording from all directions. The rotating clip helps keep the microphone properly pointed towards the audio source, contributing to stable recording quality with 48 kHz frequency and 24-bit depth. The automatic volume limiting feature reduces too loud an input signal and helps maintain consistent sound quality.
Safety Track and precise sound settings
The DJI Mimo app has a Safety Track feature that allows the DJI Mic Mini 2 to record in two tracks. The Main track records sound at normal volume, while the second track is 6 dB quieter to avoid overdriving. ⁶ This solution is particularly suitable for live broadcasts or dynamic filming.
Wide compatibility of the DJI Mic Mini 2 with devices
The lapel microphone uses the DJI Mic Mini receiver for easy pairing with cameras, smartphones, computers and tablets. ³ The DJI Mic Mini and DJI Mic Series Mobile receiver support wireless audio transmission with up to two transmitters and one receiver. The DJI Mic Mini 2 offers two modes - Green Light and Blue Light. The DJI OsmoAudio app allows you to connect different devices to up to two DJI Mic Mini transmitters without having to physically use the receiver:
- Osmo Nano - suitable for everyday travel
- Osmo 360 - ideal for action shots
- Osmo Pocket 3 - suitable for vlogging with stabilisation
- Osmo Action 6 - use even in challenging conditions
Up to 11.5 hours of battery life and fast charging
The Mic Mini 2 offers a long operating time. The transmitter lasts up to 11.5 hours, with fast charging support allowing you to get approximately one hour of operation after just 5 minutes of charging. Automatic Power Saving¹¹ optimizes power consumption and if the signal fails, the device goes into sleep mode until the connection is restored. The mobile app also allows you to set an automatic switch to power saving mode. The auto on/off function synchronised with the camera also helps to save energy. ¹⁵

The principle of the microphone
The dynamic microphone is suitable for open performances, live input, music production, etc. It uses a magnet and a moving coil to capture sound.
You will use a condenser microphone mainly for studio purposes. It has higher sensitivity and lower noise. It is necessary to power it separately.
Frequency range
The frequency range indicates the range of frequency values that the microphone records. The higher the range, the more sounds it can record.
Low frequencies (e. g. 20–200 Hz): Bass, the deepest tones of instruments (double bass, kick drum) and male voices.
Medium frequency (e. g. 200–3000 Hz): The body of the instruments, the base of the voice, where the ear is most sensitive, important for speech intelligibility.
High frequencies (e. g. 3000–14000 Hz): Treble, detail, sibilance and " shine" of the sound.
Airband (above 14000 Hz): It gives recordings a sense of expensive, super-quality sound and space.
Sensitivity
Microphone sensitivity is the ratio of output voltage to sound pressure. It expresses how loud a signal a microphone produces at a given sound pressure; higher sensitivity means stronger voltage and is suitable for quiet studios, while lower sensitivity is better for noisy environments as it will amplify less ambient noise unnecessarily.

⁵ Strong and Basic noise cancellation levels can be set via the DJI Mimo app or directly in the device interface when using Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano or Osmo Action 6 connected to one or more transmitters via DJI OsmoAudio Direct Connection. If the transmitter is directly connected to your phone, you cannot adjust the noise cancellation level in the DJI Mimo app; the default setting is the Strong level. The Noise Cancellation switch on the DJI Mic Series Mobile Receiver allows you to quickly adjust the noise cancellation levels (Off = O, Low = L, High = H).
⁶ When the DJI Mic Mini 2 transmitter is connected to a DJI Mic Mini receiver or a DJI Mic Series mobile receiver, this feature is enabled by default and can be turned on or off via the DJI Mimo app. If the transmitter is connected directly to your phone via Bluetooth, this feature is on by default and cannot be turned off. If the Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo 360, Osmo Nano or Osmo Action 6 is connected directly via OsmoAudio, the settings can be adjusted on the product interface.

¹⁰ The measurements were made in a controlled environment, and the battery level of the transmitters and receiver was less than 25%, using a charger with a 5 V output voltage, with noise cancellation turned off, when recording sound up close in interference-free conditions, with both transmitters connected to the receiver and with the receiver connected to the camera using a 3.5 mm TRS cable.
¹¹ This function is only effective when the device is switched on. If the automatic shutdown feature of the transmitter and receiver is enabled in the DJI Mimo app, both devices will automatically shut down if no pairing signal is detected after 15 minutes.
¹² If the receiver is connected to the camera using the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter and the camera is not in video recording mode or goes into playback mode, the receiver may automatically turn off and will not automatically turn back on when the camera is turned on. This depends on the technical specifications of the camera and may vary depending on the make and model of the camera. Please check the details based on your own experience of use.
