The DESIGNO Smart Home W3EG is an elegant white room WiFi thermostat for gas, electric and solid fuel boilers, electric heating and water underfloor heating. It also supports cooling mode. Adjust the temperature directly on the thermostat or from anywhere using the Smart Life / Tuya app for Android and iOS. The thermostat uses a volt-free contact that can handle a resistive load of up to 16A at 230V. Thanks to this, it can handle not only boiler control, but also direct switching of electric heating in suitable installations. Connection to the internet is via 2.4GHz WiFi.

Control from anywhere via Smart Life / Tuya
Once you connect the thermostat to your home WiFi, you can control the temperature from your phone whether you are at home or away. In the app, you can change the target temperature, adjust the weekly programme, monitor temperature history and create automations. With the Smart Life / Tuya service, you can, for example, link heating to your phone's location or other smart home devices. If the WiFi or internet temporarily drops out, the thermostat continues to regulate according to the set programme or manual mode. Once connection is restored, it automatically reconnects to the network.
Precise regulation and practical functions
The temperature can be set in the range of 5–35°C in 0.5°C increments. The latest version of the thermostat displays the measured temperature with a resolution of 0.1°C. Adjustable hysteresis allows you to customise switching to your specific heating system. The W3EG also supports an external NTC temperature sensor. An approximate consumption calculation is also available in the app; after entering the heating power input, the thermostat calculates consumption based on the switching time. This is not a separate electricity meter, but a practical estimate of heating operation.
Clear touch screen
The white backlit display shows the current heating or cooling status, thermostat mode, WiFi, child lock and other operating information. The backlighting can be adjusted in the advanced settings, including turning off completely in standby mode.
Flush mounting into a junction box
The W3EG is designed for fixed wall mounting and 230V AC power supply. The control unit is installed into a flush-mounted junction box, with a recommended minimum box depth of 35mm. Connecting the device to the mains voltage should be carried out by a person with appropriate electrical qualifications.
