This D-LINK DES-1210-08P is a PoE switch from the Fast Ethernet Smart Switches range. It is equipped with 8 Fast Ethernet ports to complement the Smart Series features for power over the Ethernet (PoE) cable. With its easy-to-use web interface and eco-friendly design, the DES-1210-08P helps customers to quickly and easily build their networks while saving energy and money.
This switch is the ideal solution for small and medium-sized businesses, but it is also used by large companies. Asymmetric VLAN support provides access to shared resources, such as servers or the Internet, without complicated VLAN configuration. The innovative features of AutoVoice and AutoSurveillance VLAN enable easy integration of IP phones and network cameras from different manufacturers. Operation from these devices is transferred to dedicated VLANs.
The D-LINK DES-1210-08P meets the 802.3af standard. This gives you a lot of freedom to install devices such as wireless access points, IP cameras and VoIP phones, even if they are from different providers. For even greater flexibility and energy savings, the DES-1210-08P features a PoE power-on timer that turns off power when not needed, such as at night or at weekends. This means that devices powered by a PoE that would otherwise be turned on at all times can be switched off centrally to save energy and money.
