The Canon Legria HF-G70 digital camera is a compact and lightweight camcorder with a 1/2.3" CMOS sensor that offers high-quality 4K UHD video. Camera with Canon lens and 20× optical zoom provides thanks to Advanced Auto Focus and a combination of electronic and optical image stabilization for smooth and accurate videos. It offers Full HD slow-motion recording at up to 0.5x speed, 4K and Full HD accelerated recording at up to 1200x speed, and supports live HD streaming via USB-C to a computer using the UVC1.

Display and focus assist functions
Display dCanon Legria HF-G70 igital cameras is a 3.5" (8.8 cm) capacitive LCD touch panel with approximately 2,760,000 dots (1,280 × 720 × RGB). For easier focusing offers assistance functionssuch as outline highlighting with a choice of colour (red, blue or yellow) and detail enhancement. A zebra pattern is also available with a reference level of 70% or 100%. For better image composition, you can use grid, level or ratio labels 4 : 3, all in white or grey.

Fast and accurate focusing with face detection
The LEGRIA HF G70 camcorder is equipped with an advanced hybrid autofocus system with adjustable speed for fast or smooth autofocusing. Set focus with a single touch of the desired AF point on the 3.5" LCD display. For added precision and convenience, especially in busy environments where you need to keep your subject in focus, there is an autofocus function with face detection and tracking. Manual focusing can be achieved using the control ring on the lens barrel.

Exposure and light measurement
The LEGRIA HF G70 camcorder supports MP4 format for playback on a compatible TV. It also supports 4K UHD recording at 150 Mbps at 25P and Full HD recording at 35 Mbps or 17 Mbps at 50P/25P. The camera offers center-emphasized full-field exposure metering and several metering modes, including auto mode, P modes, Av, TV, Portrait, sport, low light and IR. Segment ratio metering and special modes such as night scene, snow, beach, sunset or spotlight are also available. Constant exposure is used in fireworks mode. For exposure compensation, the camera provides auto exposure with highlight, normal mode, exposure lock and auto backlight compensation. ISO can be set automatically or manually.

Image stabilisation, zoom and focusing
Image stabilization combines optical lens shift and electronic stabilization. The built-in ND filter is automatic or off. The zoom of the Canon Legria HF-G70 digital camera is controlled by paddle dials on the body and handle, with manual zoom and focus ring. The zoom speed is variable or constant with 16 levels. Focusing can be set manually with a ring and by selecting a point on the display (with zoom and highlight functions) or automatically with face detection and tracking, in Instant, Medium and Normal AF modes. Hybrid autofocus combines TTL video signal and phase difference metering with conventional contrast AF. The aperture is controlled automatically via the touch screen.
