BOSCH SBD6ECX21E Series 6
BOSCH SBD6ECX21E Serie 6 built-in dishwasher
The BOSCH SBD6ECX21E Serie 6 is a fully integrated XXL model with an A energy rating, saving energy without compromising on washing results. It offers a capacity of up to 14 place settings, very quiet 42dB operation and smart features including Home Connect. For added convenience, it includes EfficientDry (automatic door opening), TimeLight (projects the time onto the floor), OpenAssist handle-free opening, and the Extra Clean Zone for targeted washing of dried-on food.
Efficient water use
Rinsing technology that maximises efficiency and ensures an eco-friendly rinse for the best washing results.
Extremely quiet operation
High washing performance with low noise levels. The SilentPowerDrive motor saves energy and reduces noise.
Automatic temperature selection
This programme saves both water and energy. The dishwasher determines the amount of water, its temperature and the rinse time based on how dirty the dishes are.
Water shut-off in case of a fault
Protection against water leaks using special sensors. If a leak is detected, the dishwasher stops itself and pumps the water out.
Silence Plus 42dB
The dishwasher operates at just 42dB, so it won't disturb you even in an open-plan kitchen and living area.

Automatic door opening before the end of the programme
Unloading dishes that aren't completely dry or are still too hot can be a nuisance. With the EfficientDry function, the dishwasher door opens automatically at the end of the wash cycle, which is a very practical solution that improves the drying process. This also prevents steam condensation and allows the dishes to cool gently, so you can put your plates straight onto the shelves without having to wipe them down first. What's more, this technology also saves you energy.
XXL dishwasher
Large plates, tall bottles, vases or bulky pots no longer need to be a compromise. The XXL design of the BOSCH SBD6ECX21E Serie 6 dishwasher offers 5cm more internal height, making it easier to arrange your dishes and allowing you to make better use of the dishwasher's capacity in daily use.
OpenAssist
The OpenAssist function lets you open the fully integrated, handleless dishwasher with just a gentle push on the front panel. The door opens slightly, allowing you to conveniently load and unload your dishes. It's a great solution for modern kitchens with coordinated front panels.
Green Collection dishwashers
Our Class A dishwashers, made in Germany, contain a proportion of CO₂-reduced stainless steel. This specially produced material is carefully monitored and allocated to these dishwashers via a certified mass balance system.* It has a carbon footprint up to 40% lower than conventional stainless steel.**
*During production, CO₂-reduced stainless steel is mixed with conventional stainless steel but is allocated to our Class A energy-efficient dishwashers based on a mass balance calculation (according to ISO 22095), verified and confirmed by TÜV Rheinland.
**CO₂-reduced stainless steel consists of 95% high-quality recycled material. The comparison relates to conventional stainless steel used in the production of our dishwashers.
Extra Clean Zone
Dried-on residue in bowls or cereal stuck to the bottom are no longer a problem. The Extra Clean Zone in the top basket uses three rotating water jets for a more intensive soak—without needing to add more detergent or increase the temperature more than necessary.
TimeLight
With fully integrated dishwashers, it's often hard to tell what stage of the cycle they're in. TimeLight projects the remaining time and programme status onto the floor, so you have an instant overview even with the door closed.
Rackmatic
When loading the dishwasher, you sometimes need a little more space at the top—perhaps for stemmed glasses or taller dishes. The Rackmatic system helps here, allowing you to adjust the position of the top basket to one of three levels. This gives you the flexibility to place bulky or tall items exactly where you need them.
Home Connect
Get the most out of your smart dishwasher. The Home Connect app lets you control the BOSCH SBD6ECX21E Serie 6 dishwasher directly from your smartphone—easily select the ideal programme, check the current status, set notifications, and better tailor the wash to your needs. The Smart Start function and other options also make daily operation easier.
Smart Start
Smart Start helps you manage your appliance's energy consumption more strategically. This function automatically selects the dishwasher's start time based on one of two presets you can configure in the Home Connect app, which considers two parameters within the wash cycle: The availability and proportion of renewable energy (such as solar or wind) or lower energy costs when your electricity rates are at their lowest.*
*Cost savings require compatible high and low electricity tariff switching. Optimisation is performed either to maximise the share of renewable energy in the grid or to reduce costs. The availability of features may vary from country to country.
Hygienically tested BOSCH dishwasher
In a BOSCH dishwasher, viruses like corona and influenza are effectively eliminated even with the Eco 50°C programme, as tested by the Institute for Integrative Hygiene and Virology (Hygiene Level 1 label). Even higher levels of hygiene can be achieved by using higher-temperature programmes in your BOSCH dishwasher, which are effective against more resilient viruses, including enveloped and non-enveloped ones. For BOSCH dishwashers, the Intensive 70°C programme and the Machine Care maintenance programme meet these criteria (Hygiene Level 3 label).
Unleash the full power of detergents
Using the right amount of detergent is important for optimal washing results. The DosageAssist feature on the BOSCH SBD6ECX21E Serie 6 dishwasher ensures that the detergent dissolves completely in a special collection tray at the top of the basket. A targeted jet of water distributes the detergent evenly, controllably, and quickly throughout the dishwasher's interior. As a result, washing is more efficient and quieter.
ActiveWater technology
We designed the ActiveWater system to wash dishes thoroughly while minimising resource consumption. Instead of just using more water, it uses it more efficiently. Thanks to targeted spray, rapid circulation, and advanced filtration, our dishwashers achieve hygienically clean and sparkling dishes. With this efficient design, we achieve these results with less water and therefore less energy to heat it.
Quiet operation
Dishwashers with a SilentPowerDrive motor ensure efficient washing at a low noise level. They are equipped with a brushless motor designed for energy-efficient operation. The motor helps reduce friction noise and contributes to the appliance's smooth and quiet running.
Intensive Zone function
The Intensive Zone function (optional on selected programmes) increases the spray pressure and temperature in the lower basket. This results in a thorough wash for heavily soiled pots and pans, while you can safely wash more delicate items in the upper basket.
Automatic programmes
Different dishes require different settings. Automatic programmes adjust the water temperature and washing time according to the load size and soil level. This means you use just the right amount of water and energy needed—for the best results without having to think about it.
Statistics (Home Connect)
The Statistics feature in the Home Connect app clearly shows you how you actually use your appliances. You'll see which programmes and settings you choose most often, as well as your total energy and water consumption over time. With a 12-month history, you can easily track how your choices affect consumption month by month—giving you a clear picture of your daily habits.
Consumption forecast
Wondering how much energy and water a particular programme will use? The Consumption Forecast function in the Home Connect app shows you the estimated energy and water consumption and the expected duration for each selected programme and optional function combination. This lets you calmly compare the options and choose the programme that best suits the current load and your needs.
Remote diagnostics
When an appliance isn't working as expected, remote diagnostics can help. With your permission, customer service can remotely check the appliance's status, locate the problem, and recommend a solution – or prepare a service visit so the technician has everything they need.
Voice control
Thanks to compatibility with Amazon Alexa, you can also control the dishwasher with your voice. Find out if the 'Home Connect' skill is available for your set country and language in the Alexa app. Activate it to link your Amazon Alexa device and your home appliance.
Favourite programme at a single touch
Simplify your routine. The Favourite Programme function lets you save a combination of your most-used programme and an additional function. You can then start it with a single touch – via Home Connect or directly on the control panel.
Lifetime AquaStop warranty against water damage
Every Bosch appliance undergoes precise checks according to strictly set standards for quality, performance, and sustainability. All Bosch dishwashers have the AquaStop system and a lifetime warranty against water damage, as well as a ten-year warranty against rusting through of the inner tub.
