The BenQ W4100i projector uses DLP technology and an LED light source with a lifespan of up to 30000 hours in ECO mode. This 4K home cinema projector displays content in a native resolution of 3840 × 2160 pixels. A brightness of 3200 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 ensure a clear picture even in rooms that aren't completely dark. As an HDR projector, it processes HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG formats. Precise colour reproduction with 100% DCI-P3 coverage is complemented by the Android TV 11.0 operating system, which opens up access to streaming services. Image quality and technology
DLP display technology forms the basis for a native 3840 × 2160 4K UHD image with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The high 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio renders deep blacks and bright light scenes. The projector supports High Dynamic Range formats HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG. Factory colour calibration with 100% DCI-P3 coverage delivers accurate reproduction of the colour spectrum. For an authentic cinematic experience, Filmmaker Mode is available, preserving the original aspect ratio, colour, and frame rate of the content. The projector also supports a full 3D display.
Light source and operating features of the BenQ W4100i projector
LED technology serves as the light source, offering a lifespan of 20000 hours in normal mode and up to 30000 hours in power-saving ECO mode. The light output reaches 3200 ANSI lumens, which is sufficient for projection in partially lit rooms. In ECO mode, the brightness drops to 3000 lumens and the cooling noise is reduced from 30dB to 29dB. The projector's typical power consumption during operation is 330W, while in standby mode, it does not exceed 0.5W. The projector has an integrated 5W speaker.
Flexible installation and setup
The projector offers flexible placement thanks to a short throw distance of 2.0 to 5.0 metres. It projects a screen screen size from 29.92" up to 300". A 1.3× optical zoom makes image adjustment easy. For precise alignment, it features two-way keystone correction in the range of ±30° both vertically and horizontally. Lens shift from 0% to 60% vertically and ±15% horizontally lets you position the image without digital distortion. The projector can be mounted on the ceiling, placed freestanding, or used for rear projection.
Projector connectivity
Wireless connectivity is provided by dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0, with screen mirroring via AirPlay and Miracast. Physical connectivity includes three HDMI 2.1 ports with HDCP 2.3 support, one of which has an eARC function for Dolby Atmos audio transmission and another processes a 4K 120Hz signal with downscaling to 1080p. Also available are two USB Type A ports, a digital optical S/PDIF output, a 3.5mm audio jack, and an RS232 port.
