AVACOM battery 12V 5Ah F2 HighRate

The Avacom battery is a maintenance-free VRLA lead-acid accumulator designed for UPS backup power supplies, electronic security systems (ESS), and electronic fire alarm systems (EFAS). It offers a voltage of 12V and a capacity of 5Ah. Thanks to AGM technology, where the electrolyte is absorbed into fibreglass, the accumulator can operate in any position. The HighRate heavy-duty design is optimised for short-term high-current draws. In standby mode, it has a service life of 3 to 5 years.

AGM technology and heavy-duty design

The accumulator is based on AGM technology with fibreglass, where the electrolyte is bound in a non-woven fabric. This makes the battery completely maintenance-free, as there is no acid leakage and no need to top up with distilled water. The entire system functions as a sealed and valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) accumulator. The HighRate heavy-duty design is optimised for the short-term high-current draws typical of backup power supplies.

Performance and service life of the Avacom battery

The battery operates at a voltage of 12V and offers a capacity of 5Ah. Its internal layout consists of six cells. In standby mode, where the battery is constantly being recharged and ready for use, it has a service life of 3 to 5 years. In cyclic operation, which involves regular charging and discharging, the accumulator can handle up to 1100 cycles. This makes it suitable as a power source for critical systems.

Wide range of uses

The accumulator has a wide range of applications for UPS and ESS, i.e., backup power supplies and electronic security systems. It is equally well-suited for electronic fire alarm systems (EFAS) and other equipment requiring reliable backup power. An F2 type flat connector is used for connection. Furthermore, the Avacom battery is fully compatible and serves as a direct replacement for many other models, such as the 12FGHL22, CT5-12 or HR1221W.
