The 3-in-1 wax is just as effective if you care for your car regularly and only need to remove minor defects from daily use from time to time, restoring a fantastic shine and protection in one easy step. Advanced micro-abrasive technology quickly and effectively removes light to medium defects, such as swirl marks, water spots, oxidation, and more. Wide range of applications
Meguiar's 3-in-1 Wax is ideal for removing light to medium paint defects (light scratches, swirl marks, hairline scratches, water spots, oxidation, and more), polishing to a high gloss, adding perfect depth to the paint, and protecting against adverse elements (UV radiation, acid rain, road grime, other contaminants, oxidation, and other environmental factors that can harm your car's paintwork).
A choice of application methods
Meguiar's 3-in-1 Wax was created for hand application. That's why the package includes a limited-edition black foam applicator. However, nothing is stopping you from applying 3-in-1 Wax using the Meguiar's DA Power System drill attachment or an orbital polisher (e.g., Meguiar's MT310).
Package contents:
G191016 Meguiar's 3-in-1 Wax, 473ml X3070 and Meguiar's Soft Foam Applicator Pads, limited-edition black foam applicator
Recommended procedure for polishing and protecting paintwork with Meguiar's 3-in-1 Wax - by hand:
Work on bodywork that is in the shade and cool to the touch.
Wash the car with a gentle shampoo and dry it.
If necessary, decontaminate the paint surface with a clay bar. Paint that is smooth as glass can be polished more easily and the protective wax will last longer.
Shake the product well!
Apply a small amount of product, about the size of a ten-pence piece, to the included foam applicator.
Work on an area of no more than 50×50cm! The more severe the paint damage you want to remove, the smaller the area you should work on!
Reducing the polished area to as little as 25×25cm will significantly increase polishing efficiency!
Apply light to medium pressure to the applicator. The more pressure you apply, the greater the paint correction you will achieve.
Make 3-5 passes in a cross-hatch pattern, depending on the condition of the paint.
When polishing to a high gloss where there is no need to remove paint defects, working with very light pressure is sufficient.
Add more product to the applicator only when necessary and in very small amounts – no more than a drop the size of a ten-pence piece!
Using more product does not improve its corrective, polishing, or protective abilities!
Allow the product to dry on the surface for at least a few minutes (depending on the ambient conditions you are working in – temperature, air humidity).
Once dry, wipe the wax off gently with a microfibre towel like the X1906 Meguiar's Supreme Finishing Towel, X2010 Meguiar's Supreme Shine Microfiber Towel, or E101 Meguiar's Ultimate Microfiber Towel.
If you need to remove more severe paint damage, you can repeat the process.
Recommended procedure for polishing and protecting paintwork with Meguiar's 3-in-1 Wax - using the Meguiar's DA Power System or MT310 Meguiar's DA Polisher:
Shake well.
Work on bodywork that is in the shade and cool to the touch.
Use a yellow foam pad (G3508 for the DA Power System or DFP5 or DFP6 for the DA polisher) for light correction.
Use a red foam pad (G3507 for the DA Power System or DFC5 or DFC6 for the DA polisher) for heavy correction.
Apply 3-4 cherry-sized drops to the pad and work them completely into the pad to moisten its surface.
Next, add a cherry-sized drop and apply the wax to the surface.
Work at a low speed (max. 2000 RPM on a drill; on a DA polisher, set the speed to 3800–4800 OPM, depending on the condition of the paint – higher speed for more damaged paint).
Work on an area of no more than 50×50cm! The more severe the paint damage you want to remove, the smaller the area you should work on!
Reducing the polished area to as little as 25×25cm will significantly increase polishing efficiency!
Apply light to medium pressure to the pad. The more pressure you apply, the greater the paint correction you will achieve.
Make 3-5 passes in a cross-hatch pattern on the polished section, depending on the condition of the paint.
When polishing to a high gloss where there is no need to remove paint defects, working with very light pressure is sufficient.
Add more product to the pad only when necessary and in very small amounts – no more than a drop the size of a ten-pence piece!
Tips for polishing and protecting paintwork with Meguiar's 3-in-1 Wax:
The bodywork should be cool to the touch and in the shade.
The paint surface should be clean and dry. If necessary, decontaminate the paint surface with a Meguiar's clay bar – this will achieve a glass-smooth paint surface on which the protective layer will last longer.
Use only a very small amount – the more product you use, the more difficult the job will be. You will not increase the polishing effectiveness or the durability of the protection, and you will just be wasting product.
Avoid unpainted plastics and rubber trims, where the product could leave white stains.
The product will turn slightly white as it dries. However, if you are not sure if the wax is dry enough to be wiped off, use the "finger test". Try to wipe the wax with your fingertip – if the wax smears on the surface, we recommend waiting a little longer, but if your finger wipes the wax clean, you can buff it to a clear finish.
You can significantly extend the durability of the wax layer and the water-repelling or beading effect (the so-called hydrophobic effect) by regularly using Meguiar's shampoos. For the best maintenance between regular washes, use Meguiar's detailers.
Do not use aggressive detergents, degreasers (typically washing-up liquids, etc.), or active cleaners and foams to wash your car – these products are not kind to the wax layer and will significantly weaken it. In some cases, they can completely remove the wax from the paint surface, as well as the polishing oils that nourish the paint. The result will be dry, exposed paint that will quickly begin to degrade and become easy to damage mechanically and chemically until you protect the paint again with a new layer of wax or other suitable protection.
