Tubular wire welding without protective atmosphere
Thanks to the possibility of polarity reversal (so-called. re-polarity) allows welding with tubular wire without protective atmosphere. You will appreciate this when working in the field or in environments where gas protection is not practical. Weighing just 25 kg, it is a portable model that is easy to handle and easy to operate. Connection to a standard 230 V household mains supply at 16 A ensures low energy consumption without the need for a special power supply.

The GYS SMARTMIG 162 allows the use of coils with wire diameters of 100 mm (1 kg) and 200 mm (5 kg). Thanks to the sophisticated design with a simple base plate, setting the welding current is very easy. There are four levels that can be customized to meet specific needs. The wire feed speed can also be easily controlled to achieve optimum conditions for a quality weld. On the front of the welder there is a clear table that allows quick and correct setting of parameters according to the type and diameter of the wire and the thickness of the material to be welded. An efficient cooling system with fan ensures safe and smooth operation. The GYS SMARTMIG 162 MIG/MAG welder comes from the renowned French company GYS, which is known for its precision manufacturing and innovative solutions in the field of welding technology.
Welding machine with two welding options
The GYS SMARTMIG 162 offers two welding options. The first variant is the MIG/MAG method, which is designed primarily for indoor use and allows working with wire with a diameter of 0.6-1.0 mm. It uses shielding gas, which ensures a stable arc and high weld quality with minimal spatter. The second option is MOG gasless welding, which isideal for outdoor applications where the use of a protective atmosphere would be impractical due to wind or other influences. This method uses a 0.9 mm diameter tubular wire containing flux to replace the shielding gas.
