GYS Charger/Starter 12/24V STARTIUM 680E

The GYS STARTIUM 680E starter is a multifunctional device that serves as both a starter booster and an automatic charger for 12V and 24V batteries. It can handle a wide range of battery types, including gel, AGM, Start&Stop, and EFB. With a high starting current of up to 380A, it reliably starts both cars and lorries. The device also offers advanced regeneration for sulphated batteries and can charge deeply discharged batteries with a voltage as low as 1V.

Intelligent charging and diagnostics

The GYS STARTIUM 680E starter functions as a fully automatic charger that requires no constant supervision. The device continuously analyses the battery's condition and automatically adjusts the output voltage accordingly. The charger offers a choice of charging curves (Liquid, Gel, AGM) for optimal care of the specific battery type. The charging process runs automatically up to 100% capacity, after which the device switches to maintenance mode. On the digital display, you can monitor the voltage and charge percentage in real time.

Advanced functions and operational safety

The GYS STARTIUM 680E starter is equipped with advanced features. The SOS Recovery function handles the regeneration of sulphated batteries and restores their lifespan. The starter also manages to charge deeply discharged batteries, starting from a voltage of just 1V. Operation is safe for both the user and the vehicle. Protection of the vehicle's onboard electronics means there is no need to disconnect the battery when charging or starting. Furthermore, the safety system prevents sparking, as the current only starts to flow after the clamps are correctly connected to the battery.

Versatile use and performance

With four charging outputs (5A, 15A, 20A, 40A), you can adapt the charging speed to your specific needs. In addition to the specific charging curves, a universal charging mode is also available. When starting the vehicle, the starter activates automatically as soon as you turn the key in the ignition. The device also detects damaged or sulphated batteries, alerting you to them and thus preventing inefficient charging. The starter is powered from a standard 230V mains supply with a 16A fuse.
