Astell & Kern AK70

The Astell & Kern AK70 is a small and lightweight portable FLAC player that lets you listen to high-resolution audio anytime, anywhere. Inside its rugged aluminium body, you will find the most advanced components and technology currently available. To take care of the faithful, naturally colourful sound, a single Cirrus Logic CS4398 D/A converter is used. This allows the AK70 to play back 24bit 192kHz signals into bit-to-bit type.

Top audio quality in a portable device

The AK70 can be used as an external sound card by connecting with a PC/Mac through the USB port. That eliminates all the problems that can occur when you want to play back DSD data with a standard embedded sound card. In the case of using the AK70 as a USB DAC, it can support up to 24-bit 96 kHz bit to bit, providing much richer sound through superior ambience and resolution way beyond the limits of an embedded sound card.
