APC Back-UPS PRO BR-650VA

APC Back-UPS PRO BR-650VA
The APC Back-UPS Pro BR-650VA uninterruptible power supply uses line-interactive topology and offers a power output of 650VA, or 390W, to protect the power supply of sensitive devices. The integrated Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) actively stabilises fluctuating input voltage without switching to battery, thereby extending its life. At full load, it powers connected devices for 2.7 minutes. This tower UPS protects connected electronics from surges, voltage spikes and complete power outages. Thanks to the clear LCD display, you have an immediate overview of the unit and power status. This APC 650VA UPS is designed for home offices and small business environments.
Key features of the APC Back-UPS Pro BR-650VA uninterruptible power supply
- Line-interactive topology efficiently regulates voltage and saves the battery
- User-replaceable battery (RBC110) extends the life of the device
- Clear LCD display shows important operational information
- Provides data and telephone network protection
- Offers three fully backed-up output sockets
- Compact tower design is space-saving
- USB interface for communication with a computer and automatic shutdown
Performance and voltage regulation
The core of the supply is a line-interactive topology that uses Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR). This feature corrects undervoltage and overvoltage within the input range without activating the battery, saving its capacity for a complete outage. The apparent power of the unit is 650VA and the real power is 390W. At full load, it powers appliances for 2.7 minutes. At half load, it provides power for 10.4 minutes to safely shut down all operations.
Battery and protection
In the event of an outage, power is provided by a 12V lead-acid battery with a capacity of 7.0Ah. The user can replace the APC RBC110 battery themselves, which extends the life of the unit. The full recharge time is 12 hours. The supply integrates surge protection with a surge energy rating of 557 joules and also protects the connected data network (RJ-45) and telephone line (RJ-11).
Management and software
A USB port is used for communication with a computer. Thanks to full HID compatibility, the supply supports native power management functions in modern operating systems without the need to install additional software. The system can therefore perform an automatic safe shutdown. A clear LCD display shows status information directly on the front panel. It can be used to monitor data on load, battery status, mains voltage and estimated backup time.
Connectivity options
A total of six IEC C13 output sockets are available for connecting appliances. The mains input uses an IEC C13 connector. Three sockets provide full battery backup and surge protection, while the remaining three serve only as surge protection. The equipment also includes RJ-45 and RJ-11 ports for data and telephone line protection.
