The ALPINESTARS GP PLUS R RIDEKNIT motorcycle jacket is a sports model that combines the durability of leather with the flexibility of knitted textiles. The outer shell is made from 1.3mm thick cowhide leather, complemented by stretch panels made from RIDEKNIT® knitted fabric for freedom of movement. A key feature is its compatibility with TECH-AIR® 5, which enhances the level of protection. The jacket is equipped with removable protectors and offers fit customisation options, which is useful for sports riding.

A combination of leather and stretch fabric

The cowhide leather outer shell is complemented by stretch panels made from RIDEKNIT® knitted fabric. While the leather provides abrasion resistance, the panels on the sleeves, neck, sides and shoulders offer flexibility and a close fit to the rider's body. To further increase durability, the seams in the forearm area are reinforced with aramid and polyamide fibre panels, which increase their strength.

Ready for an airbag and back protector

The jacket is equipped with removable internal NUCLEON FLEX PLUS shoulder and elbow protectors, which meet the CE1 standard. Shoulder protection is further enhanced by external plastic sliders with foam padding. A key element is that it is ready for TECH-AIR® 5. The chest and back areas have integrated memory foam inserts, which can be replaced with full NUCLEON back and chest protector inserts (CE2) to further increase protection.

Comfort and customisation

For riding in warmer weather, the jacket features zipped ventilation openings under the arms and perforated panels on the back to ensure air extraction. Comfort is enhanced by a low-profile collar and neoprene cuffs. You can easily adjust the fit using the hook-and-loop straps and adjustable sleeves. The extended back protects the lower back even in a sporty riding position. There are two external zipped pockets and an internal waterproof pocket available.
