The ALPINESTARS AST AIR men's textile motorcycle jacket in size XXL is designed for sports riding in warm summer weather. Its construction from durable 600D polyester fabric is complemented by extensive mesh panels that ensure airflow. A key safety feature is that the jacket is compatible with the TECH-AIR® 5 airbag system, which provides protection. The extended back section provides coverage in the riding position, and stretch panels allow for freedom of movement.

Safety features and certification

The AST AIR jacket places a strong emphasis on rider protection. The shoulders feature fixed external GP Lite protectors, which provide abrasion resistance. Internal protection is handled by removable Nucleon Flex protectors on the shoulders and elbows, which absorb impact energy and are CE certified. The jacket can also be fitted with a Nucleon back protector, for which a special pocket is prepared. For safety, it is compatible with the TECH-AIR® 5 airbag system (sold separately). The entire jacket is certified according to the EN17092 standard as Class A protective clothing.

Comfort and fit for summer riding

The jacket's construction is adapted for riding on hot days. The foundation is the extensive mesh panels on the torso and sleeves, which allow air to flow freely and cool the body. A collar with a soft inner lining and strategically placed stretch panels enable freedom of movement. You can customise the fit using the adjustable straps on the arms and hips. The pre-curved sleeve design helps reduce fatigue on longer journeys, and the cuffs are easily adjusted with Velcro. There are also two side pockets for storing small items.
