The ALPINESTARS SMX AIR textile motorcycle jacket is a short sports jacket designed for summer riding. Its construction combines extensive technical mesh panels for high breathability with textile fabric in areas prone to abrasion. Stretch panels ensure freedom of movement and an adaptive fit. The jacket is compatible with TECH-AIR®5 airbag vests and includes a removable windproof liner, which extends its use into cooler conditions.

Breathable construction and durable materials

The core of the jacket is a multi-material layout that optimises airflow while providing protection. Extensive areas of technically advanced mesh are located on the torso, inner sleeves and back, ensuring ventilation when riding in high temperatures. Key zones such as the outer sleeves, shoulders and torso reinforcement are made from 450D polyester textile, which increases abrasion resistance. Breathability is further enhanced by perforation in the chest area.

Ergonomics and comfort for sports riding

The jacket's cut is designed for comfort and freedom of movement. Polyamide stretch panels are located on the back, shoulders, hips and under the collar, adapting to the body's movements. The pre-curved sleeve cut suits a sporty riding position and reduces fatigue. The low-profile collar with a microfibre inner side also enhances comfort. You can easily adjust the waist and cuffs using the hook and loop straps.

Comprehensive protection and practical features

The jacket is compatible with TECH-AIR®5 airbag vests for the highest level of protection. Standard equipment includes removable NUCLEON FLEX PLUS elbow and shoulder protectors with CE Level 1 certification. Shoulder protection is complemented by external DFS lite plastic protectors. For back protection, there is a pocket ready for NUCLEON back protectors. Two outer pockets and an inner waterproof pocket for documents or a phone are provided for storing personal belongings. The jacket is fully certified to classification A.
