An LTE Wi-Fi modem might look like the usual Wi-Fi router. It differs because of the LTE support. Where a typical modem uses a cable, an LTE Wi-Fi modem only uses wireless internet from your operator. It's practically the same as sharing a connection from your mobile. An LTE-enabled Wi-Fi modem closely resembles a classic router (controls local network traffic), but instead of a cable connection, it uses a SIM card inserted into the SIM slot.
The ZyXEL LTE3302 is compliant with the 802,11b (2,4GHz), 802,11g (2,4GHz) and 802,11n standards, and this lets you achieve speeds up to 300 Mb/s. The support for the 802.11n standard will be appreciated, since it facilitates data transfers at speeds up to 600Mb/s, which is the current maximum speed on the 2.4GHz spectrum.
