The Zalman CNPS14X processor cooler delivers smooth multi-core CPUs, even when clocked and maximized. The base is a pair of massive aluminum-ribbed blocks to which heat is discharged from the base of a six U dual heatpipe. In the sales package you will find a 140mm fan located between the two passive blocks. However, if you require maximum cooling power, it is not a problem to install one fan on each side of the cooler, up to three.
Its own base and heatpipe are made of top copper. Furthermore, the contact surface is perfectly ground. The Zalman ZM-STG2M heat transfer paste provides maximum heat transfer efficiency.
