WiFi connectivity and speed
The system uses two frequency bands simultaneously to optimally distribute data flow. The 2.4GHz band reaches speeds of 300Mbps, which is sufficient for general web browsing and overcoming solid obstacles. The 5GHz band provides speeds up to 867Mbps for high-throughput activities like video streaming or online gaming: 2.4GHz (300Mbps), 5GHz (867Mbps).

Xiaomi Mesh technology allows you to connect up to 10 units into a single network with a common name. Your mobile phone or tablet automatically connects to the strongest node without any interruption to your connection as you move between rooms. The two-pack system can reliably cover an area of up to 370m² and can handle more than 120 active devices at the same time.
Wireless network security
Data transfer protection meets modern standards for secure home and business connections. The device supports WPA-PSK, WPA2-PSK, and the more modern WPA3-SAE encryption protocols for complete protection against unauthorised access. Any changes to login details are also automatically synchronised across all paired smart accessories in the home. Physical connections with other network elements are provided by built-in connectors on the back of each unit. Two full gigabit ports with automatic WAN/LAN detection are available, enabling easy wired connection for desktop computers, TVs, or games consoles without complex manual setup.
