The Virtuos RS-232 cable replaces the original cable supplied with the barcode reader. With this cable, you connect to the RS-232 serial port (Canon9) port. If your cash register can supply 5V power through a 9-pin connector from Canon 9, the reader can be powered by a single cable from the cash register. Otherwise, it is necessary to add an external power supply (HDB0101) to the cable.
