Compared to iron sulfate, which is common in supplements, ferrous bisglycinate is about 4 times more absorbable and does not irritate the intestinal mucosa. In addition to iron, the complex also contains vitamin C, vitamin B12 and folic acid. Vitamin C enhances iron absorption and vitamin B12 contributes to energy metabolism, thus complementing the effect of iron.
