How does an ozone generator work?
Princip ozonového generátoru je založen na chemické reakci, kterou je přeměna kyslíku (O2) na ozon (O3). By means of a high-voltage corona discharge, the generator divides the oxygen molecules into individual atoms, which then bind to the 3-atom ozone molecules. The addition of the third oxygen atom eliminates all pollutants due to its subsequent oxidation. The newly formed ozone easily binds bacteria, fungi, viruses or odors to itself and begins to change their chemical structure. With the right procedure and ozone concentration, they will be completely eliminated. The reaction changes ozone back to oxygen. The use of the generator is therefore completely safe and 100% environmentally friendly.
Warning:
Although ozone occurs naturally in the Earth' s atmosphere, it is itself a toxic gas with a typical odor and a distinct blue colour. Therefore, there must be no people, animals or plants in the room when operating the generator. Do not enter the disinfected room one hour after the end of the operation of the device.
