VHT Flameproof refractory base coat

VHT Flameproof colour is used as the base layer for painting metal components that are exposed to high temperatures. This heat-resistant paint is ideal for painting engine parts such as block or head engine, exhaust ducts and other components that are exposed to extreme temperatures. Due to its special composition, the paint resists temperatures up to 1093°C. The high quality of colours is confirmed not only by the use in the automotive industry but also by the use in the aerospace industry where they are used for jet engines.

Color Cure on Vehicle:

• the paint must be completely dried prior to curing
• let the engine idle for 10 minutes
• turn off the engine and allow it to cool for 20 minutes
• let the engine idle for 20 minutes
• turn off the engine and allow it to cool for 20 minutes
• drive for 30 minutes in normal traffic

Color Cure Outside the Vehicle:

• the paint must be completely dried prior to curing
• warm the surface to 121°C (250°F) for 30 minutes
• allow cooling for 30 minutes
• warm the surface to 204°C (400°F) for 30 minutes
• allow to cooling for 30 minutes
• warm the surface to 343°C (650°F) for 30 minutes
