Unitree G1-D-U3
The Unitree G1-D-U3 is a stationary humanoid handling platform with two 7-axis arms, a 2-axis waist and a height adjustable column. The base robot has 17 DoF without end effector (7×2 arms, 2 waist, 1 column) and the U3 variant is equipped with three-finger Dex3-1 arms with tactile feedback - 31 DoF in total for grasping and contact experiments.

Mobility and workspace
The G1-D in the Standard version is a stationary platform without running gear. The height-adjustable column has a stroke of 500 mm, a speed of approximately 60 mm/s and a maximum working height of around 2 m, making it suitable for teleoperation and data collection at different heights in the working area.
Dex3-1 three-fingered hands with tactile feedback
The U3 variant uses three-finger force-controlled Dex3-1 hands with tactile feedback. Each hand has 7 DoF, 33 tactile sensors and a sensing range of 10-2500 g, making it easy to work with contact, grip stability and test touch-based manipulation strategies.
Sensors for orientation, teleoperation and data acquisition
For visual tasks, there is an HD binocular camera on the head and a 2x wrist camera for close-ups during handling. The platform is suitable for teleoperation, grip demonstrations and data collection from handling in the workspace without a travel solution.
Computing power and development
The computing base is a Jetson Orin NX 16 GB (100 TOPS) combined with an 8-core CPU. The platform supports secondary development and OTA updates, making it suitable for iterative development of control algorithms, teleoperation and data pipelines for learning from demonstrations.
Power and endurance
The standard version uses a 9 Ah top quick-release battery. The claimed endurance is approximately 2 hours, which is practical for lab tests and teaching.
Areas of application
The platform is particularly suited for robotics research and development, human-robot interaction, the development of grasping and manipulation algorithms, and the creation of AI systems for perception and control.
