The Ubiquiti UniFi Video Camera AI Theta captures indoor spaces in high 3264 × 2448px resolution with a horizontal viewing angle of 97.5°. The bullet camera does not use traditional night vision, but instead offers advanced face and number plate recognition for a detailed overview of events. The entire system is run by a quad-core Arm Cortex-A53 processor, which processes data directly on the device. Power is supplied exclusively via an Ethernet cable with PoE support in the 37V to 57V DC voltage range. The aluminium alloy and polycarbonate construction supports wall, ceiling, or flush-mounted installation.

High resolution and wide-angle lens
The 8MP CMOS sensor captures images at 3264 × 2448px resolution at 24 frames per second. The fixed lens with two separate elements provides a horizontal viewing angle of 97.5°, a vertical angle of 79.4°, and a screen size angle of 118.2°. H.264 and MJPEG video compression effectively reduces data transfer and storage demands without loss of sharpness. Users can adjust colour, brightness, contrast and exposure directly in the settings.
Smart features
Integrated artificial intelligence algorithms analyse the captured scene in real time. The system reliably recognises faces, vehicle number plates, people and animals. Smart event detection eliminates false alarms caused by things like changes in light or moving leaves. This ensures users only receive relevant notifications for important incidents in the monitored area.
Two-way audio
The device includes a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way audio in real time. Two-way communication facilitates direct interaction with people in the monitored area without needing to be physically present. The audio system can optionally be expanded with an additional AI Theta Audio module for clearer sound in challenging acoustic conditions. The camera captures not only a sharp image, but also an intelligible audio track for accurate evaluation of recorded events.
Durable construction and flexible mounting
The construction is resistant to dust and water in a temperature range of -20°C to 40°C. The device can be mounted on a wall, a ceiling, or flush-mounted directly into a soffit using the supplied mounting hardware. Power over Ethernet (PoE) simplifies the entire installation, as it does not require a separate power supply. The aluminium alloy and polycarbonate contribute to the high mechanical resistance of the camera body.
Connectivity and application
Network connection is handled by a reliable gigabit RJ-45 Ethernet port with PoE support in the 37V to 57V DC voltage range. Management and video monitoring are handled in the app, which supports iOS and Android mobile operating systems. Users can also control the system via Windows using the web interface. The entire app interface is available in English.
