The TP-LINK TL-ER604W VPN and WAN router is equipped with 5 Gigabit Ethernet ports and can reach wireless network transfer speeds of up to 300Mbps. It is suitable for smaller offices that require a cost-effective and secure VPN connection, enabling remote connections to a different branch or more demanding home workers. The router supports IPsec, PPTP and L2TP VPN protocols. In the case of PPTP and L2TP, it can perform the roles of client and server. The router allows multiple VPN connections using several VPN protocols.
The VPN hardware engine offers remarkable performance, with the router capable of holding up to 30 LAN-to-LAN or client-to-LAN IPsec connections. Advanced features include DES/3DES/AES128/AES192/AES256 encryption support, MD5 or SHA authentication, IKE support in both main and aggressive modes, and manual or automatic key management. To protect against external threats, the TL-ER604W is equipped with automatic protection and detection of DoS attacks, including TCP/UDP/ICMP packet overloading, TCP Scanning, Ping of Death and many other threats.
The TP-LINK TL-ER604W also features a host of premium features. It supports up to 8 different wireless network identifiers (SSIDs), allowing you to create separate wireless networks for corporate departments or user groups. The guest network feature allows you to create a separate network for customers and business partners who require an Internet connection. Professional lightning protection is designed to prevent overvoltage penetration into electrical equipment, with the TL-ER604W being able to handle overvoltage up to 4kV.
