An LTE Wi-Fi modem looks like the usual Wi-Fi router. It differs because of the additional LTE support. While a classic modem requires a wired connection, a Wi-Fi modem with LTE only uses a mobile internet connection. It works as if you're sharing access with your smartphone. An LTE-enabled Wi-Fi modem is much like an everyday router (splits connections), but instead of using cables, you must insert your SIM card in the SIM slot.
The TP-LINK Archer MR600, LTE has support for 802,11a (5GHz), 802,11b (2,4GHz), 802,11g (2,4GHz), 802,11n and 802,11ac standards, and this lets you achieve speeds up to 1167 Mb/s. The 802.11n support is very important, since it allows for data transfers at a maximum speed of 600Mb/s, which is the current maximum at a 2.4GHz frequency. The TP-LINK Archer MR600, LTE also handles 802.11ac, and therefore when using the 5GHz frequency it is possible to reach speeds up to 1800Mb/s.
