Who are you buying it for and what do they like?
The game’s target audience is related to its type – is it a simple game meant only to entertain, or is it something more complicated and strategic? Is the game competitive or do players work together? Also important is the number of players (usually 2-6), playtime (often under 1 hour for family games), and the graphic design and language.
Choosing social games by type
- Children's games - fairy tale-themed, educational, designed to improve perception and speech skills, but often beautifully made and illustrated. Their target audience is mainly children of 3 years and older. Other popular types include memory games, dominoes, or children's cards.
