In The Last Guardian, you do not play as a seasoned marine or a butch detective, but as an ordinary eight-year-old boy without any special abilities, who by chance encounters and crates an unbreakable bond with a mysterious, gigantic creature.
Trico - Ally and Protector
On your quest, you will be accompanied by Trico - a creature somewhat reminiscent of the mighty Griffin - a mythical creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion and the head and wings of an eagle. Though enormous in size, it's not so smart, so you will often have to stroke, direct, or encourage it to help you overcome obstacles and protect you from unexpected dangers.
