Tenda AP5

The Tenda AP5 is a top-of-the-range wireless access point suitable for both households and small and medium-sized businesses. It supports 5 modes of operation and combines the functionality of several devices. Three removable 5dBi antennas provide significant signal propagation at speeds of up to 300Mbps. The device is equipped with the new Broadcom chipset that delivers fast real-time bandwidth, stability and also a "green Wi-Fi mode" that reduces active power consumption.

Multipurpose Device

In Access Point Mode, the AP5 connects to the network using a cable and broadcasts a wireless network. It also works as a switch since it has 2 LAN ports and it is possible for it to connect to another device. In the Universal Repeater (Universal Range Extender) mode, you select the Wi-Fi network to connect to and extend to places where the signal is weak or fluctuating. All parameters like network name, security, and password remain the same, but the range is greatly increased. 

With Client+ AP, the TDP AP5, like the Universal Repeater/Extender, connects to a Wi-Fi network to create a second but separate customisable Wi-Fi network. There is also a Station mode, where the AP5 connects to the Wi-Fi network and provides connectivity for two devices via a LAN port. 

High-level Security

In addition to the most secure WPA2-PSK security, the Tenda AP5 supports many other types of security such as VPN, MAC address filtering, the ability to disable your SSID, VLAN for SSIDs, up to 8 different SSIDs with separate security, output power settings and other above standard Network features. The device is equipped with two removable omnidirectional antennas, each with a gain of 5dBi. For installation, the "Quick Setup" manual will help you configure your new Wi-Fi AP/Extender in just a few steps that only take a few minutes.
