The Teltonika LTE Router RUT works as a fixed industrial router for indoor use to create wireless and wired connections for end devices to the internet. This mobile router uses LTE-A Cat 6 network technology for data transfer with download speeds of up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of 50Mbps. The hardware supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi frequency bands with a WiFi transfer speed of 300MB/s. The anodised aluminium construction with IP30 rating withstands temperatures from -40°C to 75°C and is suitable for demanding environments.

Mobile Connection
The router's mobile interface supports LTE-A Cat 6 technology with download speeds of up to 300Mbps and upload speeds of 50Mbps, while backward compatibility with 3G provides download speeds of up to 42Mbps. The design includes two Mini SIM card slots, which are complemented by eSIM profile support for storing up to 7 different profiles. The system automatically switches between cards when it detects a weak signal, reaching the data limit, roaming or if the data connection fails. Administrators can configure SIM card protection against inactivity by periodic switching.
Wired Connection via Ethernet Ports
Four gigabit Ethernet ports with a transmission speed of 10/100/1,000Mbps are used for wired connection of end devices. One of these ports serves as a WAN interface and the remaining three ports function as LAN interfaces for connecting local network elements. All Ethernet ports meet IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u and 802.3az standards and support automatic MDI/MDIX switching. In addition, the router includes one USB 2.0 port for connecting external drives, printers or other modems.
Security Features of the Teltonika LTE Router RUT
Network traffic security is managed by an integrated firewall with port forwarding, custom rule settings and DDoS attack protection. The device supports the creation of VLANs based on physical ports and tags for effective traffic separation. Protective functions are complemented by a TPM hardware module version 2.0 for secure identification and authentication of devices on the network. Unwanted network traffic can be restricted using a web filter with support for allow and block lists.
Virtual Private Network (VPN) Support
The router offers a wide range of protocols for creating encrypted virtual private networks (VPNs). Compatibility includes OpenVPN protocols with support for 27 encryption methods, IPsec with 14 methods, as well as GRE, PPTP, L2TPv3 or SSTP. Users can run multiple clients simultaneously and configure VPN servers to securely connect remote branches. The system also supports modern WireGuard, ZeroTier, Tinc and Tailscale protocols for fast establishment of encrypted point-to-point tunnels.
Durable Construction
The anodised aluminium metal casing provides an IP30 protection rating and protects the internal components from the ingress of solid particles. The device operates in conditions with a temperature range from -40°C to 75°C and humidity up to 90% without condensation. Power is supplied via a four-pin industrial connector with a DC voltage in the range of 9 to 50V. Passive PoE power supply is also available via the LAN1 port with reverse polarity and overvoltage protection.
Remote Management and Monitoring Options
The RutOS operating system, built on the Linux OpenWrt distribution, offers management via a web interface HTTP/HTTPS, a command line interface (CLI) or SSH and JSON-RPC protocols. The RMS remote management cloud system is used for mass configuration and firmware updates. Location tracking is performed by a built-in GNSS receiver with support for GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS satellite systems. The device supports MODBUS TCP, DNP3 and DLMS/COSEM industrial protocols for data collection.
