Large AMOLED panel with sharp resolution
The 6.83-inch screen size combined with a 2772 × 1280 px resolution provides plenty of space for reading, watching videos and working on documents without unnecessary zooming. The AMOLED panel, with a billion colours and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, displays deep blacks and vibrant colours that stand out when watching films or viewing photos. A 120Hz refresh rate, along with an instantaneous 2560Hz touch response rate, makes the TCL P80 Pro a phone that responds smoothly to every finger movement. In addition, thin bezels of just 1.38mm on the sides maximise the usable screen area.
Paper-like appearance for comfortable, strain-free reading
NXTPAPER technology is TCL's proprietary solution that aims to bring the experience of reading on a screen closer to that of a paper book. A special surface treatment reduces glare and diffuses light to make text appear softer, so your eyes don't get as tired during long reading sessions. Meanwhile, high-frequency 3840Hz PWM dimming suppresses the invisible backlight flicker that is often the cause of headaches when using conventional displays in the evening. The TCL P80 Pro is also the brand's first model to combine NXTPAPER technology directly with an AMOLED panel, so eye comfort doesn't come at the expense of colour saturation or contrast.
A large sensor that can handle the dark
The main 50MP camera is built around a large 1/1.56″ sensor with 1.0μm pixels that capture significantly more light than smaller sensors in this category. 4-in-1 pixel binning technology creates effective 2.0μm pixels, ensuring evening shots remain clear and free from distracting noise. A 6P aspherical lens reduces image distortion and maintains sharpness right to the edges of the frame, while the combination of optical and electronic stabilisation ensures sharp photos even when shooting handheld. The TCL P80 Pro's Dual Native ISO technology helps to maintain detail in both highlights and shadows simultaneously, so images resist glare and aren't afraid of the dark.
A wider shot and images ready to share
The dual rear cameras are complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with autofocus, which can capture a vast landscape or a group photo without you needing to step back. The 32MP front camera with a powerful imaging algorithm takes sharp selfies ready to be shared straight to social media. MuseFilm filters give your shots the soul and depth of analogue photography, while the colour palette enables you to professionally fine-tune shades even without prior photo editing experience. The AI motion capture feature helps focus on fast-moving objects, so you can capture action-packed moments.
Balanced performance for everyday tasks and gaming
The octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite processor, built on a 4nm process, combines four high-performance cores clocked at up to 2.6GHz and four power-efficient cores at 2.0GHz, ensuring smooth app performance and reasonable power consumption. The Mali G615 graphics chip handles common mobile games with good display quality, while the 8GB of RAM can be virtually expanded by another 16GB for more comfortable multitasking. The fast 256GB UFS 3.1 storage on the TCL P80 Ultra speeds up app launches and work with larger files, such as high-resolution photos or 4K videos.
All-day battery life and fast recharging
According to the manufacturer's internal tests, the 5800mAh capacity can handle up to 23 hours of video streaming, 15 hours of continuous gaming, or 45 hours of talk time, so the phone will easily get through even a demanding day. The smart power-saving system combines intelligent power management, an adaptive refresh rate and a deep sleep mode for unused apps, all without you having to configure anything. Fast charging at 45W with support for the USB Power Delivery standard replenishes the battery significantly faster than standard chargers, which you'll appreciate especially when time is short.
A clear picture in the sun and in the dark
A maximum brightness of 3200 nits ensures the display remains easy to read even on a bright summer's day, when standard phones fail in direct sunlight. The anti-reflective, anti-fingerprint coating also keeps the screen clean and clear even after hours of use. For the evenings, the TCL P80 Pro offers blue light reduction modes, which make it easier to drift off to sleep after reading in bed. Stylus support expands its functionality, letting you write notes, draw, or sign documents directly on the screen – a feature anyone who uses their phone for creation as well as consumption will appreciate.
Strikingly thin and light for everyday carrying
The slim design and low weight make this phone a pleasant companion that won't get in the way in your pocket or hand, despite offering a large 6.83" display. The satin-smooth finish on the back feels pleasant to the touch, isn't slippery, and unlike glossy materials, doesn't attract as many fingerprints. TCL collaborated on the final design with world-renowned materials expert Chris Lefteri, which is reflected in the thoughtful tuning of colours, surface finish, and overall impression of the craftsmanship. You can choose the TCL P80 Pro in two shades, the elegant Midnight Blue or the warmer Sunlit Gold, both of which feel sophisticated without being unnecessarily flashy.
A smart assistant always at hand
The Android 16 system, with support for up to four major updates, ensures the phone remains current and secure even after several years of use. Google Gemini works as a fully-fledged AI assistant that you can have natural conversations with, get summaries of long texts, plan trips, or develop your own ideas into concrete form. The Circle to Search feature also lets you search for anything directly on the screen just by circling it, without having to leave the app you're in. The TCL P80 Pro thus combines the latest version of Android with AI tools that save you time on everyday tasks.
