Btrfs provides a clone operation that creates a copy-on-write metadata snapshot of a file,  allowing you to recover data in the event of hard drive corruption or bad sectors. Btrfs also has special tools to detect errors in common files. Btrfs creates checksums for each read operation so that the error is detected immediately and auto-correction can be performed without delay. The snapshot feature lets you create a copy of an entire shared folder. This way, in the event of database loss or corruption caused by a human factor, you can quickly recover data back to the moment the image was taken.
