Synology DS218, a multimedia NAS with enhanced encryption support
Synology DS218 includes a hardware acceleration transfer system and supports H.264 / H.265 1080p and H.265 4K codecs. It converts 4K videos to 1080p to make them playable on non-4K devices and at lower speeds, whether it's local media players or remote mobile devices. In addition, you can transfer videos in the original 4K resolution to your media player or 4K TV within your local network environment.

Synology prevents attacks on sensitive data

NAS as a File Centre
DS File is a fast and secure tool for sharing and managing your files stored on your Synology DS218. You upload your data by simply dragging them to your Mac or PC. Advanced filters make it easier to find documents, photos or videos. The NAS can also be used as a centralised backup location. Whenever a file is edited, changes are automatically backed up by Cloud Station Backup. It synchronises files between DiskStation and multiple platforms including Windows PC, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile as well as Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, hubiC, and Baidu Cloud.
