Detailed High-Resolution Image
The 4MP sensor provides clear and detailed video in 2560 × 1440px resolution at a smooth frame rate of 30 FPS. A fixed lens with a focal length of 2.12mm and an aperture of F2.0 captures a wide field of view, which is 125° horizontal, 72° vertical and 145° screen size. Modern H.265 video compression effectively reduces bandwidth and storage requirements while maintaining high image quality.
Classic Night Vision for Continuous Surveillance
Area security continues uninterrupted even after dark or in complete darkness. The camera uses classic infrared night vision with a powerful built-in LED light that reliably illuminates the monitored area. The maximum night vision range is 10 metres, which is sufficient for a detailed overview of what is happening in the immediate vicinity of the monitored object.
Advanced AI Functions and Event Analysis
Integrated artificial intelligence algorithms perform on-device image analysis and eliminate false alarms. The system can accurately detect and count people and vehicles, track moving people in the shot or register the crossing of a virtual boundary. When an intrusion is detected, the camera sends an instant email alert, and the Instant Search function makes it easy to search back through the recording for key events.
Two-Way Audio for Active Communication
The device is equipped with an integrated microphone and a built-in speaker that allow for full, real-time audio transmission. The environmental noise cancellation function increases the intelligibility of the spoken word by filtering out unwanted ambient noise. Two-way communication makes it easier to give remote instructions to visitors or serves as an effective deterrent to unauthorised persons on the property.
Flexible Recording Storage and Data Protection
Users can save recordings to Synology network recorders, hard drives within Surveillance Station, or use cloud services. There is also a built-in slot for MicroSD memory cards with a maximum supported capacity of up to 256GB. The temporary storage on the memory card is used for recording in the event of a network connection failure.
Connectivity and App
Wireless connectivity is provided by a dual-band Wi-Fi module supporting IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac standards in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. The DS Cam mobile app for Android and iOS makes setting up and managing the camera easy, and Windows is also supported. Secure data transmission on the network is handled by encrypted HTTPS and SRTP protocols to protect user privacy.
