Westin Line W3 8 - Braid Smokey Grey 150 m 0,10 mm 3,5 kg

The Westin W3 8-Braid eight-strand braided line is designed for sea trout anglers and those looking for a relatively stiff braided line. Made from premium Japanese UHMPE fibres, its round profile and smooth surface ensure minimal friction, letting you achieve longer and more accurate casts. The special Dura-Coating finish repels water, increases durability and reduces wind knots, even in strong winds.

Strong eight-strand construction

The foundation of this line is premium Japanese UHMPE fibres braided into eight strands. A dense construction with 32 weaves per inch gives the line a perfectly round profile. This shape minimises friction as the line passes through the rod guides, resulting in noticeably longer and more accurate casts. This lets you cover a larger water area more effectively and place your lure exactly where you need it. The low stretch also ensures sensitive contact with your lure and instant bite detection.

Dura-Coating finish

The line features double Dura-Coating gel technology. This treatment creates an ultra-smooth, water-repellent surface that glides effortlessly through rod guides and the air, significantly boosting casting performance. The coating also increases abrasion resistance and protects the colour from fading. Another major benefit is the reduced risk of wind knots when casting in strong crosswinds, which is invaluable in challenging conditions.

Features for targeted fishing

With features such as low stretch and a floating design, the Westin W3 8-Braid line is an excellent choice for targeting sea trout and other predators. Its relative stiffness enables precise lure control and reliable hooksets, even at a distance. The camouflage grey colour reduces line visibility in the water, giving you an advantage when targeting wary fish. The floating nature of the line makes it easier to control your lure and present it in the upper water column.
