Luminous flux
Measured in lumens (lm), the higher the value, the more intensely the head torch shines. Some LED head torches offer multiple light intensity levels, adjustable either in steps or continuously. However, a higher luminous flux reduces the battery life.Up to 100lm – head torch for home use (lighting in the cellar, attic, or when repairing a car).
100–400lm – outdoor use (night running, cycling, camping).
Over 400lm – extreme professions and sports (rescuers, mountaineers).
